10 Healthy Snacks to Grab on the Go
Although we like to think we're always super organised, with healthy snacks prepped and ready at all times, in reality sometimes we simply don’t have the hours in the day... or we just forget! Luckily these days there are plenty of healthy options available to grab on the go, as long as you know where to shop and what to get! So to help you stay healthy no matter how busy you are, we've rounded up some of Neat's favourite snacks...
Neat Café Snacks
In the Regent Street area? The Neat Café has got your afternoon snack sorted with our brand new food menu (which you can read more about, here). Now as well our much-loved protein shakes we also have protein balls, bars, flapjacks and even green brekkie pots which are perfect for a quick bite to eat on the go.
Kind Bars
Kind bars - sure to be Head of Marketing, Cat's favourite healthy snack! These sweet bars are packed full of nuts and seeds, and are even gluten & dairy free too for those with intolerances.
Emily’s Crisps
Here at Neat we love a packet of Emily’s Crisps to munch on at our desks. The jury’s out on the best flavour though – the crunchy sweet potato, carrot & beetroot crisps or the crunchy french beans, sugar snap peas & edamame divides office opinion!
Pret Pots
Need something a little more filling than a bar or protein ball? Pret’s mini pots, like their salmon, eggs and spinach or hummus and veggie pots, are a great savoury snack option when you need something filling but aren’t quite ready for dinner yet.
Eat Natural Bars
Eat Natural's extra protein bars have (you guessed it!) a higher protein content and less sugar than their other bars, making them great for throwing in the bottom of your bag when you head out and about. We recommend the maple, pecan & peanut bar to satisfy your sweet tooth.
M&S Snack Pots
M&S is a great spot to grab a nutritious snack, and even caters well to the non-meat eaters. When you're craving some proper veggies to keep you going, try their carrot and hummus snack pack or their beetroot and feta pots - perfect for getting in those micro-nutrients!
Hippeas Crisps
Wotsits got a healthy upgrade! These moreish chickpea puffs will take you back to your favourite childhood snack and make grabbing a packet of crisps mid-afternoon seem a whole lot more appealing.
Healthy chocolate
Sometimes nothing but a bit of chocolate will do! This super creamy vegan Ombar chocolate bar is sweetened with coconut sugar and definitely has our vote. Can't find Ombar in the shops? A good quality 70-80% dark choc makes for a pretty good back up choice!
Graze Boxes
Snack healthy on the high street now that Sainsbury's and other supermarkets are selling Graze's snack packs full of nuts, spicy chickpeas and seeds. Their pre-portioned packets are awesome for grabbing in a hurry and are super kid-friendly too!
Pip and Nut
Nut butter has got to be one of our favourite snacks, and now thanks to Pip and Nut's squeeze packs nut butter just got portable! They're a great go-to for spreading on an apple or rice cakes; or squeezing straight into your mouth - guilty as charged!
