Crush Your Training Without Leaving The House

Home workouts have a reputation for being half-arsed and non-effective. Sure, a lacklustre attempt at a YouTube video or a couple of bodyweight squats might not give you the same results as a heavy session in the gym. But that’s not to say that it isn’t possible to get in a killer training session without leaving the house…

Our tips? Keep it simple. Focus on fatiguing muscle groups just by utilising your own bodyweight – it doesn’t have to be any more complicated than that. And you need to push yourself too. The reason a lot of home workouts aren’t effective is that it’s easier to slack off when you’re at home; unfortunately, you’ve got to actually put in the work to reap the rewards.

Murph – CrossFit WOD

You might have to leave the comfort of your home for this one, but only as far as the local park. A firm-favourite among the CrossFit crowd, all you need to take on the AMRAP-style WOD, Murph, is somewhere you can do a pull-up. The weighted vest is optional, and not for the faint-hearted…
