Decadent & Dairy Free Desserts
Fourth in the series of our vegan recipe round ups (find our simple breakfasts, here, our smart snacks, here & our smoothies, here), this week we’re here to inspire you with our favourite type of recipe - desserts! Although most commonly used in shakes and smoothies, protein powder is a great way to add a satiating boost of plant-based protein to a sweet treat or snack. So to inspire you to get creative in the kitchen, here’s 6 awesome desserts made with our vegan pea & hemp protein powder.
Chocolate Nut Butter Bars
It's a well-known fact at Neat HQ that no dessert combo will ever beat chocolate and nut butter. These chocolate squares are soft, gooey and incredible moreish thanks to their balance of sweet chocolate and salty nut butter. They never fail to hit the spot when our sweet tooth comes calling.

Vegan PB Mug Cake
Spending some time in the kitchen is all fun and games when you’ve got a free Sunday afternoon, but for those that are time-poor, this mug cake recipe takes just minutes to whip up. It’s also great for when you fancy a mid-afternoon cake, but don’t want to be left with an entire tray of cupcakes.

Peanut Butter Protein Brownies
Got a gathering coming up and not sure what to bring? Whip up a batch of these homemade peanut butter protein brownies - we promise there's no way to please your friends! This recipe also happens to be vegan-friendly, gluten and soy free!

Nutella Protein Balls
We love a protein ball recipe for a pre or post workout snack, or just an energy boost when we’re rushing around. These are a little more indulgent and can also be enjoyed for a rich chocolatey dessert after dinner. Just swap Nutella for a vegan alternative like Vego or Sweet Freedom. Technically they'll last in the fridge for up to a week, but they certainly didn't last that long at Neat HQ!

Gingerbread Banana Bread
We originally made this gingerbread banana bread last Christmas, for a festive twist on a firm favourite bake, but it’s stayed a regular in our repertoire ever since! Made with warming ginger and cinnamon, we love it served warm with a cup of tea or even eaten for breakfast with a generous dollop of salty nut butter!

Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Mousse
This recipe makes all our dreams come true – it’s super high in protein thanks to the combination of silken tofu and our Chocolate Vegan Protein, but still has a deceivingly creamy texture. So you can indulge in dessert and still hit your macros!
