Apple Pie Oats

As soon as the leaves start falling from the trees, we declare it officially porridge season! This apple pie themed recipe is lightly spiced with cinnamon and sweetened with honey and apple - it's Autumn captured in a bowl.

METHOD: 

Cook oats on the stove with milk, grated courgette, 1/2 the apple (also grated), 1 tsp cinnamon, vanilla extract and a tiny pinch of salt. Add a dash of cinnamon and stir regularly over a medium heat.

At the same time, chop up the other half of the apple and cook in a frying pan on a high heat with a splash of water, cinnamon and the 1-2 tsp of honey. 

Once your oats have thickened, take off the heat and stir in the vanilla whey protein and an extra dash of cinnamon (in our opinion, there's never enough!). Top with your cooked apple, a dash of yoghurt and peanut butter!
