Pumpkin Pie Shake
We've handing over to the The Plantbased Londoner, Megan Hallett, for a post-workout shake with an autumnal twist...
As a vegan, other people seem to be a little obsessed with my protein intake, even though it’s something I never thing twice about. My diet is packed full of whole, healthy foods, and lo and behold, plants have protein too. However, if I’ve had an strenuous workout, I do like to ensure I’m packing in the protein straight away, and Neat’s hemp and pea protein powder is amazing at helping me do so.
I’ve created a creamy and oh so indulgent pumpkin pie smoothie that you can enjoy post-workout to give those muscles (and taste buds) some extra love. Another unapologetically autumnal recipe? You betcha!
METHOD:
Once you’ve got all your ingredients together, the process is super simple. Simple blend everything up together on a high speed, adding a little more milk if you desire a slightly thinner consistency.
I’ve found that coconut yoghurt makes a great topping for the smoothie and is a great way to add some tummy friendly goodness into your morning (yay probiotic power!). Finish with an extra dusting of cinnamon and a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds.
