Sourdough September French Toast
If you read our blogpost last week, you’ll know that it is now Sourdough September! So, to celebrate this delicious, albeit bizarre, celebration, we’ve created this protein-packed sourdough French toast recipe topped with berries and yoghurt. It tastes deceivingly indulgent and makes for a pretty epic weekend brunch!
METHOD:
Whisk together the egg, vanilla whey, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, salt and sweetener of your choice.
Once lump-free, soak bread in mixture whilst you heat 1 tsp butter or coconut oil on a medium heat. Fry the soaked bread in the pan for a couple of minutes on each side, spooning any excess mixture on top.
Once golden on both sides, serve with extra yoghurt, honey and blueberries!
